HOW SOON CAN YOUR SERVICE START AND CAN I CHANGE CAREGIVERS?

When you contact us we will initiate an in home assessment with you and your loved one to develop a custom plan with the specific services that will work best to suit your loved one needs. We will then pull from our team of qualified caregivers to find a compatible caregiver to match your family member. This service could now start right away. However, if the caregiver we provide is not compatible to your family, then you could call the office to request a different caregiver.

HOW DO YOU ENSURE THAT YOUR CAREGIVERS ARE SAFE AND TRUSTWORTHY?

Every member of the PCHC care team has been through a rigorous criminal record and background screening process, before they are hired. All staff will carry a personalized identification card which shows their name, photo and signature to ensure that you are getting the correct caregiver. WE also carry public liability insurance.

HOW DO I KNOW WHICH IS THE BEST SERVICE TO USE FROM YOUR LIST OF SERVICES?

In PCHC detailed home assessment, we review all the services that we provides and collaborate with you to choose the best service that will be most suitable for your loved one needs.

DO YOU OFFER CASUAL ON-CALL SERVICES WHEN I NEED EXTRA HELP?

Yes, please call the office and register as a client prior to your first visit. Then a supervisor will come to your home and conduct an assessment to identify which service would best serve the needs of you loved one.

DO YOU PROVIDE CAREGIVER WHO SPEAKS LANGUAGE OTHER THAN ENGLISH?

Yes, some of our caregivers speak other languages. Please call our office for more information.

DO YOU PROVIDE CARE 24 HOURS A DAY?

Yes, we have a dedicated team of caregivers available throughout the day and night to ensure that your loved one needs are catered for at any time of the day or night.

WHO OVERSEES THE WORK OF CARGIVER?

Our homes are inspected on a regular basis to ensure quality care are being provided and care is up to standard. We also create an open communication care plan with you and your loved one to ensure all your loved one needs are met to satisfaction.

HOW CAN I BE SURE THAT MY CAREGIVER WILL STAY FOR THE FULL PERIOD OF THE SHIFT AND CARRY OUT THE TASK?

We have taken a comprehensive approach to ensure that the care service you receive is exactly what you have requested. After every visit the care worker will write the details of activities undertaken during the visit in the core record. A copy of this record is retained by you, the care receiver. In addition, the care receiver is ask to record their satisfaction, by signing the caregiver time-sheet which is returned to the PCHC office for checking.

WHEN AND HOW CAN I MAKE CHANGES TO MY CARE PACKAGE?

As your loved one care needs changes, you might want to change the type of care your loved one is receiving. This is why we carry out a care review on a regular basis where we welcome your input in changing and updating the care that your loved one receive.

WILL I HAVE THE SAME CARE-WORKER EVERY DAY?

We try to keep the same care-worker with the same client every day. This helps to facilitate bonding, friendship, trust and regular routine. However, we allow for a secondary caregiver to fill in at times when your regular caregiver have a day off, is ill or on vacation. So we do try to keep the number of your caregiver to the absolute minimum.

HOW MUCH DOES YOUR SERVICES COST AND HOW DO I PAY FOR IT?

 

PCHC care service is more affordable than home healthcare services. During our home assessment, we will put together a detailed, specialized, care-plan for each care recipient which will set out the care to be delivered, as well as the weekly cost for such care. Therefore, rate depends on your specific care needs and a discount is applied to overnight stays. There are various means for processing payments, please call our office to find out the best method for you.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE OFFICE IS CLOSED?

PCHC office is normally open from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday. Aside from this we operate an out of hour’s emergency services which is available anytime for your convenient.
